Old Fashioned values for modern day children

About Us

Have you struggled with the choice of enrolling your child into child care?
Have you been dissatisfied with the options that are available to you as a parent?
Are you unsure as to what should be offered in a quality long day care setting?
Yashoda Laalan Paalan is not just about quality care. Laalan Paalan is a culture and philosophy based around old fashioned/traditional values for developing young children into responsible human beings and providing experiences that heighten and stimulate children’s senses and creativity.
Laalan Paalan evolved from a vision and dream of MR.K Harish, an educationist who is passionate about providing true, quality education and care.  Collectively, we have 23 years experience in the Childcare industry in the development, construction, management and operation of long day care centres.  Our aim is to ensure that the responsibility of caring for one of your most important people in your life, your child, is taken as the most serious role we  will come upon throughout our lives.

How?
A building is only bricks and mortar.  To create an environment where children can thrive, feel safe, secure, loved and learn about the world around them, takes life and spirit.  The life and spirit in our centres starts with our staff.

Our Staff……………….
We believe we have chosen our staff for their unique qualities.  Qualities such as vitality, enthusiasm, passion, understanding, ingenuity, creativeness and dedication shine through in our early childhood educators and care providers.  Our staff has a hugely important role in caring for your children.
To ensure your child is receiving the best in care and early childhood education, staff are encouraged and supported in opportunities for professional development both during centre hours and outside centre hours.

Our children………………….
The life and spirit in our centres prolong with our children.  When you step into a place where children enjoy being, you are taken to a magical world of imagination, spontaneity and creativity.
We utilize the existing knowledge-children’s preconceived notions about the world around them- to gradually extend their learning and growth through a developing purposeful curriculum.

Curriculum…………………
A developing curriculum is a program of activities directed by and created from the child’s knowledge.  We are always on the look out for opportunities created by activities to further extend children’s thoughts and dreams.  Through continuous observations throughout the day a lot of data is collected about the developmental need of the child.
Our days are filled with play, learning through problem solving, communication, social negation and physical experimentation.

Parents………………………

We are constantly partnering with parents in their children’s development and the mutual commitment facilitates in establishing and maintaining precious collaboration.
It is highly important for us to take your inputs, comments and complaints which we hope  will allow us to persistently strive to improve our service to you and your family.

Centre…………………….

Internally, the centre* is air conditioned.  The rooms have been brightly decorated with colours that are calming and not overpowering to create conducive learning environment.  The centre has been equipped with high quality toys and resources that have been age appropriately selected for the children in our care.
The centre has a separate babies’ area with an air conditioned sleep room.  The sleep room is permanently monitored by staff on rotation. We know your baby is your most precious possession and we commit ourselves to caring for each child individually and along your guidelines as parents and as the child’s first and foremost teacher.

Another feature of the centre is the kitchen where 3 meals per day are prepared for children.
Our cooks are certified and come with years of experience in the food service industry.  Menus will be displayed for parents in the foyer on a weekly basis and we encourage parent suggestions for this area. Food will be of a “home-cooked” meal quality and no deep fried or frozen foods allowed.  We value the importance of good nutrition for children and as such offer your child only the highest quality in food service.
The centre has been created to provide an extraordinary environment where children can learn about the natural world around them in the natural setting in which the centre has been built.  The babies have not been forgotten either.  The babies centre has its own separate play/ adventure/ activity area where babies can test their physical skills through a serious of activities.  The babies’ area has its own covered sandpit area and moveable play equipment.
