Our Centre and Different Areas
Our Babies’ Imaginative Area
The Childrens imaginative play allows children to play out parts of everyday life, for example coming to terms with a new baby or going shopping.
This helps children understand human behaviour and relationships. It is well equipped and often changes from house to shop, hospital to café.
Dressing up clothes and puppets are also available encouraging children to play out their fantasies and role-play.
Imaginative play encourages social interaction and stimulates the use of language between other children and adults.
Our Babies’ Messy Area
Art – Painting by different methods, model making with various materials, card making, collage etc, encouraging colour, shape and material recognition and develop small muscle skills.
Water and Sand – Materials and equipment vary and are changed regularly, helping to develop an understanding of different qualities of water and sand. Simple maths and science are encouraged.
